no-touch law?
Jun. 19th, 2003 12:33 pmthis is an interesting article on l.a. county's proposed strip club "no-touch" law. in short, it means an end to lap dances & tips in g-strings, since patrons would have to keep a distance of 6 feet from the dancers at all times.
the author has a good point: the city council members who support the law say it will help curb "spillover" activity (i.e. prostitution) in west l.a. in actuality, if the law is really enforced, there will probably be even more "spillover," as patrons move their propositions outside. basically, these people don't care about the rights of the women working in the clubs, they just want to make sure nobody's having sex in their front lawns. wtf?
