Two comments:

It's always better to check off one of the two main party affiliations. That way you can vote in primaries. I check off Democrat but don't feel like I have to always vote the Democratic ticket.

Also you can't "unregister" to vote. When you move you simply register at the new location and vote there. I've got SF trying to serve me failure to appear warrants for not doing jury doing, but I live in Los Angeles. If only they'd pay attention to those address correction required notices the post office hopefully had returned to them.

my main thought was that he is actually registered to a major party, yet claims that he is not.

i think moore does work that needs to be done, and which, quite often, no one else will do, but personally, i just don't like the man.
