ah, a nice, relaxing weekend

plenty of sleep, plenty of movies (both "the italian job" and "finding nemo" were well worth my $10), and a lovely pair of lavender shoes . . .

i'm going through some weirdness with a boy i'm "dating." he's the neighbor of one of my best friends, so i run into him all the time, even when we're not set to hang out. sometimes he'll come by my friend's house when we're just kicking it over there, which is what he did on saturday. he was probably with us for a good 20 minutes, during which he proceeded to pretty much ignore me, asking my friend why SHE didn't come to his birthday celebration, while saying nothing of the cute (i thought) note i left for him to wish him a happy birthday two days before. plus, he slapped her on the ass, really hard, which was bizarre on several levels. i'm not sure why his behavior has gotten under my skin, because i'm not really interested in pursuing a serious thing with him, but it always hurts a little to be ignored/snubbed by anyone.

dammit! i was hoping for the karmann ghia!

i forgot how much i liked this!

i recently rediscovered lauryn hill's "miseducation" album, and have been playing it constantly. it's such great warm-weather music, and it's inspired me to buy some more hip-hop.

today, on a whim, i'm listening moby's "play" for the first time in probably two years. since it was totally oversaturated at one point, i'd forgotten how much i enjoyed it when it first came out.

are there any albums you've recently rediscovered?
