i discussed my self & other project with my professor yesterday. she kind of led me in a new (though related to what i was already thinking about) direction, and i'm actually quite greatful for it. i get to do field research! whoo hoo! i'm going to examine how visual aspects of the bollywood industry and chromolithograph-type deity images help people create a sense of place in the indian diaspora. so i get to run around devon a lot in the next two months, taking pictures and rummaging around in the video stores. i couldn't be happier.

ugh. a whole three hours talking about how sartre was a paranoid son-of-a-bitch. here i go . . .

i just noticed that the boy has put two bad, bad christopher meloni movies on our netflix queue.
