just finished watching wonder boys on FX. i'd forgotten how much i like that movie.
i'm feeling more or less settled into the apartment. having it to myself so much at first is really weird, though. i hope i don't feel strange when my roommates come back; like they're invading my space, or something.
i should probably leave the house today, but, dammit, i really don't see the point. it's hot out there, and i can't think of anything to do right now that wouldn't cost money. there's a couple of movies i'd really like to see, but until i get a job, i'm trying to cut back to just one per week. the next on my list is american splendor, about the cartoonist harvey pekar.
i think i'll venture into chicago's indian area later this week: i really want some strong black tea, like the stuff my old roommate used to bring home, and i'm also looking for a biggish (5 x 2 vertical, or the like) mandala for the wall over my bed. i'm thinking it might clash with the blanket on my bed, but if it does, i could always put the blanket under the comforter, instead of above.
gosh, isn't my life interesting? ;)
