that was the most hopelessly dull oscar ceremony i have ever seen. seriously, could there have been ONE dark horse? ONE upset? ONE category in which return of the king was passed over? even if the award went to seabiscuit instead?

Seriously, it was soooo boring. I was really hoping for Renee to not get it too - anyone can do a hillbilly impression honey.

the boy and i agree that we've never seen her do anything that someone else couldn't do as well or better. even if she's not necessarily a BAD actress, she bugs. it's the squinty-eye thing.

The only category that I was unsure about was the best actor. And I'm very happy it went to Mr. Penn.

Even the gowns were rather boring. Everyone was in white with a long flowing train.

The clothes sucked this year. A little color, please, hello? Even the men had on white satin ties! Blah!

Boring, boring, boring. :(

i agree - there was some seriously dull clothing. one of my favorite comments from the party i attended was directed at stuart townsend (who was wearing a white tux jacket) -

"what is he, a waiter? did charlize raid the catering staff before the show?"
