thanks! i've been in a great mood ever since. i've never been fired before - i think it's pretty funny, considering she's pretty much the worst job i ever had, and that's counting the guy who landed me in tax hell.
It was a crappy min. wage temp job for the summer. They fired all the temps at once. They always did that. Apparently it saves money if you don't have to hire permanent employees and give them benefits. All they had to do was call the employment agency for another batch of workers, and say that the prior group "didn't work out".
sadly, no. the story lacks drama. she left me a message to call her while i was in class this afternoon (ironically, working for my t.a. job), and since i hadn't been ordered to the "mandatory" meeting tonight, i pretty much knew what that meant . . . she told me it "wasn't working out," and that there had been "complaints." uh, right. what i really think happened was that she was tired of me telling her that she wasn't always right, and that she'd gotten through the grapevine that i was about to quit anyway.
of course, i immediately called mel at the salon, and told her, so i'm sure that mandatory meeting is going to be pretty interesting . . .
since i have two other jobs, no unemployment for me.
oh, and apparently she fired another stylist, told a third person that she was on her "last chance," changed all the locks, and all of the access to the scheduling software. damn, she's paranoid.
