I just made some really good salsa two nights ago for dinner. I got it from a book, but I think I remember everything that was in it:
4 medium sized tomatoes, chopped fine 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped fine 2-3 scallions, chopped fine and include the white part 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (chopped, can include the stems) juice from 1/2 lime 1 1/2 tablespoons of tequila pepper to taste 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1 table spoon of minced garlic
Chop/mince and add everything to the same bowl, stir and let it sit 10 minutes or so for the flavors to mix.
This is not spicy at all. You could add a few drops of your favorite hot sauce or even 1/2 of a jalepeno (the recipe called for this actually, but I left it out because I HATE cutting jalepenos, the make your hands all spicy for like a week!)
