i've turned in all my lease paperwork! here's hoping that my credit check goes well (i haven't looked at it myself in almost a year), and then i'm home free!
Congratulations! What neighborhood will you be moving into? I'm about to move myself, & am hoping to get the lease signed tonight on a VERY nice place in Lincoln Square (Rockwell stop of the brown line).
Maybe once you're out here we can actually get the Chicago glitter girls off their asses and have a get-together for once. For some reason we always have a really hard time getting everyone into one place at one time.
yay! i'd love to try to arrange a get-together when i hit chicago. though, if you ask the l.a. girls, i'm really not very good at it.
i'm moving to wrigleyville. about three blocks east of wrigley field and the red line. yay! it's a straight commute to school for me (probably about 20 minutes), and i really like the neighborhood.
Oh good! I would really like Wrigleyville if not for, uh, Wrigley Field. It makes it hard to find parking, and I don't do well with large crowds of drunk sports fans...heh. Otherwise, there are some great things in that neighborhood (including my favorite open-all-night restaurant, the Pick-Me-Up Cafe; and the Chicago Diner which is probably more exciting if you're vegetarian...and then Chicago Comics and Aiko's Art Supply and that good used bookstore and and and...).
We just signed a lease on the place we were looking at, so unless something goes horribly wrong with the credit check, we have a swanky new place over in Lincoln Square! I'm very excited. :)

i should hit town on the 16th of august, after a hot and nasty drive through half of america. actually, i'm really looking forward to the drive. moving my boxes up 3 flights of stairs however . . .
