alexeye | car drama & blasts from the past

so i'm home right now, in ukiah. i'm running a day late on my schedule, because, what fun, my car broke down on the way up here. yes, the very same car i took in for a tune-up on MONDAY. one of the radiator hoses burst on friday morning, when i was in the middle of fucking nowhere, with no reception on my cell phone. i was lucky to be able to limp a little farther north, where i could get a tow to the local honda dealership. i then rented a car to take me to san francisco for the night, but had to head back to salinas the next morning to pick up my car. all was well, though it took a bunch of money to replace all the hoses. however, once i was back in s.f., parked at in-n-out for a quick bite, i noticed ALL THIS LIQUID POURING OUT OF MY CAR. seems that one of the mechanics forgot to replace the oil cap, which could have ruined my engine, had i not noticed when i did. so now i have two very angry calls to make to mechanics. i just hope i get back to l.a. in one piece.

however, i had a fabulous time in s.f. with m1, and it's been great to see everyone in ukiah. i ran into a bunch of people from high school at the concert in the park last night, and then this morning i get an email from one of my best friends, who lives in humboldt: apparently, she's moving to wyoming in a month or two! another state to visit! and then i got an email from classmates.com: one of my ex-boyfriends, who i haven't seen or heard from in at least 5 years, emailed me. he's in nashville, and will be heading to chicago in the near future. bizare.
