i've been reading all morning - taking a little break to let it sink in a little. while writing my response for my indian art class, i was gratified that i got more out of a first reading than i'd initially thought. brecht is tough, though, and will definitely require a second reading. plus, i have yet to attack the 100+ pages my crit professor gave us this week.

since i've done most of my schoolwork for the day, i should really go downtown and check out some cheap office clothes at express and h&m. but i REALLY don't feel like shopping. i'm starting to get really paranoid about money.

matchstick men was somewhat disappointing - filmmakers should remember that, when making a heist/con film, the characters should be able to outsmart the audience, not just each other.

saw the trailer for mystic river, which has such a fantastic cast. i'm really looking forward to seeing it.

i feel like someone with a brain should petition for power of attorney over sam rockwell's career. who lets him do all of these stupid heist movies?

Have you read Mystic River? Sooo good.

They are having a special screening at Harvard, but I can't afford the 20 bucks a seat, especially when there won't be any stars there ;)

I'm really excited to see Marcia Gay Harden and Laura Linney, they are so perfectly cast for those roles.

I couldn't put it down, it took me two days to read it.

It's an amazing portrayal of Boston working class life. It will be interesting to compare it to movies like "Good Will Hunting" and "The Boondock Saints" - as far as its portrayal of Boston goes. They created quiete a hubbub filming it.
