i had a good, and productive, tuesday. watched asoka this morning, which won't help with my paper too much, but i enjoyed all the same. then it was off to trader joe's, then laundry time and film theory reading. this week's article was easier than most, and part of it concentrated on the film the reckless moment, which i haven't seen, but the deep end is apparently a direct remake of it, and i really love the deep end.

then i went to the MCA and saw the kerry james marshall show, so i can write a review of it for my art crit. class. it'll be my first art show review, but i have a good feeling about it. i got caught in a tsunami on the way home, but it was kind of fun this time.

unfortunately, my roommate seems pissed at me. she swings pretty dramatically between emotions, it seems. anyway, i should work on some stuff for the marshall review, then perhaps watch superstar: the life and times of andy warhol. thanks for taking part in the minutia of my life.

Oh, the Deep End was amazing. Thilda Swinton was ripped off for an oscar nom!

she totally was. i've loved her since orlando, and i don't feel she ever gets the respect she deserves - hell, she was really good in the beach!

now i really want to see the reckless moment, because max ophuls was an excellent director (i took a class on his films), and james mason was hot! hot! HOT!
