Nov. 10th, 2003 09:43 ami got so much done this weekend, school-wise, that i actually started reading FICTION! yay! i'm re-reading will self's how the dead live, which is alternatly really depressing and very, very funny.
i was (finally) somewhat social last night - mel and i went to play pool at this great dive bar in her neighborhood, then ran home as fast as we could to catch carnivale. damn, ben is dumb.
mel is managing a newly-hatched art gallery, and her first show is in about two weeks. she has a bunch of booking gaps this winter - too bad i had to tell her that i have almost no paintings in chicago . . . but it was quite sweet of her to offer me a show without ever having seen my work. i don't think what i do is good enough for a real gallery show.

Date: 2003-11-13 05:17 pm (UTC)It looks like Justin is going to turn into one of those evil religious televangelists that gained notoriety in the Depression - that should be interesting. I can't help but think of Matt Damon's character in Dogma whenever I hear him talk about the "left hand of god" stuff.
