had a good visit with grandma, and a great few days with

tabristheangel. got lots of lovely urban outfitters goodies from grandma, and, by proxy, my uncle. new jeans, flashy tights, and some lovely scarves. not to mention the amazing dinner & drinks at salpicon . . . i feel kind of guilty, it's a lot of money, especially put together, but both of my relatives are very generous. i'm extremely thankful.

otherwise, lots of food, and i think i did a pretty good job with cooking brunch for grandma. the recipies for pita chips and artichoke & spinach dip were particularly yummy.

dad sent me a load of books, and i've just begun cosmopolis. it's fabulous so far. i also have oryx & crake and blood meridian, plus he got me a couple of good bollywood books.

AND dvds! the good thief and the ruling class! tabris is the first person i know, not related to me by blood, who likes the ruling class. he is SO my boyfriend.
