so, i'm a bad student, because i'm skipping class, but not THAT bad a student, because i'm using this time to work on reading & responses.

one of my goals for the semester is to submit at least one paper for publication or presentation. the boy is going to help me edit my dharmic transgression paper from last semester - i have to cut about five pages off, which shouldn't be too difficult.

i'm germinating some seeds of projects for this semester. i'd like a lot more time to work on them than i gave myself last semester. i'm thinking about doing something on the construction of the star persona for my self & other project, and perhaps a paper on pretty girls going ugly in cinema for my lust & aggression paper. there's been a fair amount of media writing done on this second one recently, but i haven't seen anything scholastic on it, and i think it would be very interesting to look at the many reasons behind this phenomenon.
