things i NEED to do this weekend -

* go to devon ave. for my self & other project.
* read a lot of bhaktin (every time i say his name out loud, i feel like i'm saying "bactine")
* read the fluxus/pop art chapter of my survey book.
* read 2 "american girl" books for lust & aggression (one of which is entitled molly saves the day. heh.)
* update my resume and find a good writing sample to go along with my t.a. applications.


things i WANT to do this weekend -

* go to the movies (perhaps see the dreamers?)
* watch the third season of oz.
* hit up sephora for shu umara purple eyeshadow.
* sleep in. laze about.

re Bakhtin: There was this nimrod in my Biblio class who was all heteroglossia this and carnival that . . . finally the professor (who was cool as shit) said, "I don't have to read Bahktin. I have tenure." That shut him up for about seven minutes, but at least they were seven good minutes

heh. i've got a girl in my self & other class who's like that. she's an art history grad student who takes nothing but phenomenology classes. ye gods.

i actually kinda like bhaktin. i think it's the english major nerd within me, who's been locked deep in my subconscious for the last year or two.
