the chicago reader has announced that the pixes will be coming to town.

am i wrong, or is it kinda weird to announce your show 8 months in advance?

the magnetic fields are playing a show in minneapolis the day before the chicago shows. tickets are $20, and they are still available on ticketmaster as of 5 minutes ago. if you want to go, i will drive you.

I think it's rather odd, but the Pixies are selling out super fast everywhere, so maybe they thought it was a good idea.
